The Magic Southwest is an independent place-based podcast located in Durango, Colorado. We tell curious, non-linear oral histories, poetry, documentaries, and interviews about the Southwest.

We have received support from RedLine Arts and Society in Denver.

In 2022, Kirbie Bennett and Jamie Wanzek embarked on a local history project that led to the co-creation of The Magic City of the Southwest, a history podcast with support from Durango’s Lodgers’ Tax Fund and KSUT Four Corners Public Radio.
